Infertility and Preconception Services - such as difficulty conceiving or maintaining a pregnancy, fertility treatment, & associated losses.
At Restored Welling, Susan Prince provides support to those experiencing challenges during their fertility journey. Susan is accredited with the Australian & New Zealand Infertility Counsellors’ Association (ANZICA). She devotes much of her practice to assisting individuals, couples and families to navigate the difficult journey of being diagnosed with infertility and subsequently facing treatment. She has particular interest in working with couples facing infertility to address the impact of infertility and its treatment on their relationship and given her family therapy background, an interest in the application of systemic principles to work with fertility clients. Clients can feel safe to seek support with an experienced counsellor who is familiar with the fertility processes and the psychological complexities that arise during this time.
Antenatal Services - Such as Depression, Anxiety & Stress during Pregnancy.
Restored Wellbeing clinicians offer assessment and treatment to support women to improve their mental health during pregnancy. Issues commonly addressed include antenatal anxiety, antenatal depression, bonding issues, pre-exiting mental health issues, previous birth trauma, childhood/sexual/physical/emotional trauma, parenting fears and issues relating to family and relationships. We also provide support to women who experience loss during their pregnancy or for those that go on to carry a pregnancy after loss.
Postnatal Services - Such as PND, Birth Trauma & Anxiety.
Treatment is provided to women during the postnatal period and during the first few years of parenting. This is a significant time of change and adjustment for most new mothers. Issues that commonly arise during this time include postnatal depression, postnatal anxiety, birth trauma and grief & loss. There are also changes in relationships with a partner, friends, family and work and emotional changes such as feeling overwhelmed, a loss of control or feeling incompetent. Parenting stress, sleep deprivation, social isolation, changes in identity & competing priorities also emerge making this new transition really tough.
Grief & Loss Therapy
Kirsten Finn, Susan Prince & Janine Oostenbroek offer bereavement counselling. Losing a baby at any gestation can be truly devastating. Restored Wellbeing provides a safe space to be able to gently process loss and to have conversations that may not seem possible in any other context. You can read more about this here in our blog.
Online Telehealth Sessions
To be able to keep you feeling safe whilst improving your mental health, we offer online consultations and phone consultations so that you can receive professional support from the safety of your home. This allows us to provide therapy to clients throughout Australia.
Sometimes getting into a therapy clinic can be really hard. We are always happy to convert any clinic-based appointment to telehealth if needed.
